This research planning project establishes the "Center for the Study of Governance and Society" at King's College London as an intellectual home for scholars and policy leaders interested in freedom in East and Southeast Asia, supporting research that applies liberal principles to the region’s institutional and cultural complexities through the creation of a long-term research project, entitled the "Asia Freedom Project"
Through this project, the Association for Science Education will amplify effective pedagogies and resources for understanding “how knowledge works” in science through conferences, events, workshops, a greater web presence and a Massive Open Online Course.
This project, directed by Deanna Kerrigan at Rutgers School of Public Health, pilots Conciencia Plena, a mindfulness-based character strengths intervention, to improve mental health and HIV outcomes among women living with HIV in the Dominican Republic.
Through a comparative human-chimpanzee-bonobo study, this project aims to build a framework and overarching theory for the evolution of group-mindedness providing a unified understanding of the mechanisms that shape group connection and differentiation.
