In every episode of SongWriter, an author shares a story, and a songwriter performs a new song written in response. With the support of TWCF, the last two seasons focused on elements of human flourishing, and included scientists sharing their research on the relevant topics.
For the proposed pilot project, SongWriter (hereinafter SongWriter US) will expand and iterate in two ways. The first is to record three international SongWriter podcast episodes hosted and produced by local teams in The Bahamas, Turkey, and Brazil, using the model established over the past two seasons by SongWriter US. The second pilot is a partnership with Blueridge PBS to film, edit, and broadcast four live performances of the show as a television and digital video series.
