The World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP) is an annual global convening where commissioners, producers, scientists, and other stakeholders from the global factual content ecosystem discuss how cutting-edge research and discoveries are best communicated to mass audiences through compelling formats, and to support international cooperation and collaborative partnerships that lead to trusted, widely distributed content such as documentaries, series, podcasts, and digital-first media like YouTube that help inspire and educate the public. The 2026 WCSFP will take place November 9–12, 2026 in Tallinn, Estonia.
This donation request is to support an initiative within the 2026 WCSFP to give Templeton World Charity Foundation (TWCF) grantees and stakeholders a visible, credible platform inside this specialized conference gathering with senior factual content decision-makers across film, television, digital, audio, and live formats—and to share TWCF’s focus on curiosity, character, and human flourishing with this highly targeted audience. This contribution would extend the impact of Templeton’s existing investments, support its grantees’ visibility and connectivity, and reinforce a nonprofit platform dedicated to curiosity, cooperation, and responsible public understanding.
The donation would support participation in the Ideas Salon—WCSFP’s curated, intimate forum that fosters direct exchange between scientists, researchers, and specialist factual content producers and broadcasters. The 2026 program will reserve places for approximately five to seven TWCF grantees. Selection of participants will be coordinated with TWCF while maintaining WCSFP’s independent editorial stewardship. TWCF is invited to provide a shortlist of approximately 15 candidates for consideration for participation in the Ideas Salon sessions.
