As part of TWCF’s strategy to support new scientific research and translate related discoveries into practical tools, this project from HigherEd+ (DBA as Publication Academy), founded and led by Jay P. Singh, will provide three new cohorts of grantees with access to custom online courses developed for TWCF and delivered through HigherEd+’s proprietary Learning Management System. These courses include the TWCF Academic Writing Course, the TWCF Advocacy & Amplification Course, and the TWCF Grant Writing & Management Course.
Through these courses, the project aims to accelerate the pace at which discoveries move through the strategic pipeline by empowering grantees to communicate their work more effectively. This includes support for academic publications such as peer-reviewed journal articles, as well as technical communications such as policy briefs, social media and blog posts, digital newsletter articles, press releases, and other materials that help share new discoveries and tools with wider audiences. The project also aims to support reinvestment in currently funded projects by helping grantees identify external funding opportunities and write successful grant proposals.
By strengthening grantees’ capacity to publish, communicate, and pursue follow-on funding, this project will help increase the reach, usefulness, and long-term sustainability of TWCF-supported research.
