Director
William Forbes Storrar
Institution The Center of Theological Inquiry

Can machine intelligence unite congregations in their experiences of religious community? And can it help them become more inclusive of congregants from different backgrounds and experiences?

Directed by William Storrar, The Spiritual Loop Project investigates these questions. Bridging theology, technology, and social outreach, the project assesses the pastoral potential of machine intelligence in video gaming. Working in collaboration with congregational stakeholders and gaming developers, the team will create outputs to guide and encourage future research on machine intelligence and pastoral care.
