This project will advance discussion and understanding of the role of education in society. Specifically, it will explore the knowledge, skills, and values that students need to thrive, as well as the instructional systems needed to develop them.

The project will organize an annual seminar series addressing these issues. Hosted by the Department of Education at the University of Oxford, and St Antony’s College, Oxford, the seminars will be directed at students taking postgraduate studies in International and Comparative Education and open to all members of the University of Oxford. The project would also fund an annual Visiting Templeton World Charity Foundation Fellow to spend two weeks as a Visiting Fellow at St Antony's College, Oxford. The project would also fund an annual conference at St Antony’s College, Oxford, from which an edited volume of papers will be published each year.
