Accelerating Research on Consciousness

Led by project director Brian Nosek, the Center for Open Science will conduct a grant-making project for consciousness research in partnership with multiple journals using the Registered Reports publishing model to interrupt how consciousness research is conducted. In addition to supporting high-quality consciousness research, the Center will use this grant-making program as a marketing intervention to spur broader culture change in consciousness research.

With this project, The Center for Open Science (COS) aims to more fully embody its mission to promote openness, integrity, and reproducibility of research by taking steps to make it easier for researchers to show and share their work.

Led by project director Helena Cousijn, DataCite and its partners aim to broaden the scope of open science by developing an exemplar workflow that will assist teams in adhering to FAIR principles for making all research outputs available. By providing a workflow that is easy to implement, the team ultimately aims to start a culture change, where it becomes a standard part of the research culture to make outputs FAIR upon inception.
