What are Diverse Intelligences? with Dr. Pranab Das - podcast

Dr. Pranab Das is a professor of physics at Elon University and Principal Advisor to Templeton World Charity Foundation’s Diverse Intelligences initiative (DI,) which has a three-part mission: to map the contours of intelligence found in the natural world; to nourish the dimensions of human intelligence, including social, moral, and spiritual intelligence; and to encourage the practical and positive applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

In this conversation with Richard Sergay, Professor Das discusses the definition of intelligence, including why the “s” at the end of the phrase “Diverse Intelligences” is intentional. Professor Das also gives a brief overview of some DI projects that represent what diverse intelligences mean, and are featured in-depth on other “Stories Of Impact'' podcast and video episodes — including research headed by: Dr. Andrew Barron, Dr. Jana Schaich Borg, Dr. Brian Hare, and Dr. Fred Sharpe.
