Nakia has also lectured on Government & Politics, Research Methodologies, International Refugees, and Environmental Politics at several universities in Europe.

Nakia is a Program Associate at Templeton World Charity Foundation, where she supports research initiatives and grants under Discovery. Before joining the Foundation, Nakia served as Project Manager for Research at NEOMA Business School in Reims, France, where she spearheaded the launch of their Behavioral Lab (XP Lab). Previously, she coordinated the involvement of Belgium’s Hugo Observatory in the High-End cLimate Impacts and eXtremes (HELIX) consortium, funded by the EC’s 7th Framework Programme (FP7) for Research. In her role as Research Associate, she helped foster international collaboration, conducted field research and published her results on climate migration in Burkina Faso, Bangladesh, and India. Nakia has also lectured on Government & Politics, Research Methodologies, International Refugees, and Environmental Politics at several universities in Europe. She holds an M.A. in International Development from Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA). Prior to pursuing her Masters studies, Nakia rode her bicycle from Beijing to Paris on a yearlong bike trip to promote deliberate, simple, low-impact lifestyles and travel.
