Principal Advisor for Strategic Relationships and Partnerships

Fiona Gatty is the Principal Advisor for Strategic Relationships and Partnerships for Templeton World Charity Foundation, where she also provides consultation on other areas of grantmaking, particularly the Global Innovations for Character (GiCD) initiative. She is also a Research Project Coordinator and Co-PI at the Oxford University Department of Education (OUDE).

Dr. Gatty has a multidisciplinary background and experience. Academically she is an art historian specializing in late eighteenth- and early-nineteenth-century French aesthetics. Prior to returning to academia, she had a career in the international finance, entrepreneurial business, and high-net-worth family business sectors. She has published and taught at the University of Oxford on late eighteenth- and early nineteenth-century art, history, and aesthetics. Drawing on her experience as Chapel Director at Somerville College, Oxford, she has also published on the theory of material religion and education. She received her MA in Modern History, and her MSt and DPhil in History of Art from the University of Oxford.
