Ellen Morgan

Principal Advisor for the Global Innovations for Character Development initiative

Ellen Morgan is the Principal Advisor for the Global Innovations for Character Development initiative. She supports the identification, development, and evaluation of high-potential research and implementation projects related to this Initiative.

Previously, she led Grand Challenges Canada’s Global Mental Health innovation program and contributed to the 2017 Lancet Commission on Mental Health and Sustainable Development. She has also worked with Médecins Sans Frontières in the Democratic Republic of Congo and as a policy analyst for the Government of Canada. She holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Geography from the University of British Columbia. She is an amateur triathlete and currently lives in Costa Rica with her husband and young daughter.
