How can I get involved?
Templeton World Charity Foundation launched this initiative to accelerate progress within the academic community. If you are a researcher, media professional, or you support work in this area, then you can read more below on how to get involved.
We are always open to funding partnerships in this area. Our approach is geared towards testing incompatible predictions rooted in competing theories of consciousness. If successful, such projects may contribute to the field by generating rigorous disproof of one or more theories. We take great care to source and support high-quality research. If you are interested in partnering with us or adopting the Structured Adversarial Collaboration mechanism, then please reach out through our Contact Us page. If you would like to learn more about this signature grantmaking mechanism or the projects we currently support (page coming soon), then please follow the links in the text.
Theorists and experimentalists in neuroscience
Our aim for this initiative is to support research on consciousness primarily through structured adversarial collaboration. We generally do not have the capacity to consider unsolicited proposals. If you would like to stay up to date with our work on this initiative, please sign up to our mailing list. If you have a general question about the initiative, then you can reach out through our Contact Us page.
Want to propose a workshop?
Our structured adversarial collaborations always start with a workshop. To propose such a workshop, you can fill out this form. Before doing so, please be sure to learn about our signature grantmaking mechanism and read our Workshop Guidance document (coming soon).
Workshop hosts and attendees
We aim to provide a high level of support to our workshop hosts and attendees. Every workshop will be assigned to a Program Officer at The Foundation whom you can reach out to directly. For general information about our workshops, please see our Workshop Guidance document (coming soon). If you still have questions then please reach out through our Contact Us page.
